REMINDER: NATIONAL SOIL SURVEY CONFERENCE IN ST. LOUIS

This is to remind MAPSS members and other interested parties about the National Soil Survey Conference to be held in St Louis from June 27 until July 2 at the Holiday Inn Select Downtown Convention Center. The MAPSS summer meeting will be held during this conference on Monday evening, after the social Mixer.

Our participation as hosts at this meeting will be an opportunity for us to showcase ourselves and our accomplishments to colleagues from outside of Missouri and outside of the United States. The conference itself is free (not a common deal), but lodging is not (a common deal). The Hotel has single and double rooms available for $69.17 a night. While the official deadline for hotel registration has passed, there are still rooms available, and we are told that the price will be honored to those who call in before our block of rooms is filled up. We will be holding our traditional auction, with the help of Dave Skaer calling the shots. And we'll need stuff to sell, If you have any "White Elephants" that you would like to recycle to some worthy individual (with $) and help raise needed funding for our organization, please bring them on in.
